Schoolgirl suspected of setting fire to military enlistment office in Kazan placed under house arrest

The Sovetsky District Court of Kazan sent an eleventh-grader suspected of setting fire to the district military registration and enlistment office under house arrest, Realnoe Vremya reports .

According to Realnoe Vremya, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempt to destroy or damage property”). The maximum penalty for such a charge is 3 years and 8 months in prison.

The 17-year-old schoolgirl was detained on October 3. In the police, the girl said that she opposed the war and mobilization, media reported. Baza wrote that she threw several Molotov cocktails at the draft board.
