The security forces came to search the Moscow office of the Golos movement. Vitaly Averin, a member of the council of the movement, announced this.
The search, apparently, is being carried out in connection with the criminal case of Ivanovo activist Mikhail Gusev, who is accused of “discrediting the Russian army.” On October 4, with searches in this case , they came to the Pskov deputy of Yabloko Nikolai Kuzmin, the coordinator of the Perm Voice Vitaly Kovin, and several other participants in the movement in different regions.
A criminal case under the article “Discrediting the Russian Army” (280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was opened in Ivanovo because of the Telegram channel “Emigrant’s Diary”. The siloviki consider Gusev to be the owner of the channel. Also, according to the investigation, Kuzmin, Kovin, journalist Denis Kamalyagin, activist Ekaterina Novikova and the Step space are connected with this project.
As follows from the basis of the decision, Gusev was already brought to justice under a similar administrative article in July.
Searches also took place at the co-chairman of Golos Grigory Melkonyants, members of the council of the movement Arkady Lyubarev and Irina Maltseva, the coordinator of the movement in the Chelyabinsk region Natalia Guseva. In the search warrants, all of them are listed as witnesses in the Gusev case.
