Zelensky announced the liberation of three villages in the Kherson region

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the liberation by the Armed Forces of the country of three settlements in the Kherson region in a day: the villages of Novovoskresenskoye, Novohryhorovka and Petropavlovka. His video message was published in Telegram.

“Thank you to everyone who fights and works for our victory! Thanks to everyone who helps Ukraine and puts pressure on Russia for the sake of peace! We will definitely win."

He added that several events took place today that “confirm the faith of the world in the future of Ukraine.” According to Zelensky, Ukraine has begun joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which unites 38 strongest states. Ukraine, along with Spain and Portugal, is also applying to host the FIFA World Cup in 2030.

Earlier, the head of the Lugansk Regional Military Administration (OVA), Serhiy Gaidai, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had begun the de-occupation of the Luhansk region and liberated six settlements in the Luhansk region.

On October 4, pro-Russian Telegram channels reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had broken through Russian defenses in the north of the Kherson region. If the situation does not change, Russian troops may lose control over the entire right bank of the Dnieper, including Kherson. By the morning of October 5, the deputy head of the pro-Russian administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, announced that the Russian military was "carrying out a regrouping." According to him, this is happening because "it is necessary to gather strength and strike back."
