Attacks on Zaporozhye have not stopped since the night. On the morning of October 6, several more rockets flew into the city center, and there is a high probability of repeated attacks, a local resident told The Insider.
“At five in the morning there were arrivals in the city center. Four rockets have just arrived in all districts of the city, and in the morning about seven rockets flew into the historic center of the city. There are dead and wounded, people are still being pulled out from under the rubble. I have friends who live there, who are lucky – one brick wall saved them. People panic a little, of course, they go to their families, because no one understands where they are coming from and what to do. There is information that it will still arrive soon, so everyone is waiting, ”the source said.
“In the morning I heard arrivals, the windows were shaking. It was heard throughout the city, they called from all areas and asked if everything was in order. I saw from the buildings and the fence that was moving that it was somewhere nearby, ”explained a local resident.
At the same time, according to him, despite the constant shelling, none of the local residents seek to leave the city. “People are somehow used to it already, and there is nowhere to go, except perhaps to their families. People want wives and children,” the source notes.
Vladislav Moroko, director of the Department of Information and Cultural Policy of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration, told The Insider that the air raid continues in the city. The last arrivals were an hour ago, there is a high probability of repeated strikes, he said. Information about the victims is still being specified.
Earlier, the governor of the region Alexander Starukh said that seven rockets were fired at Zaporozhye overnight, at least two people were killed, and a three-year-old girl was among the victims. Another five people are trying to get out of the rubble of a collapsed house.
