In Thailand, a former police officer who was fired the day before broke into a Child Development Center in the city of Nong Bua Lamphu and opened fire, killing at least 34 people, including 22 children. After that, the shooter tried to escape in a pickup truck and committed suicide. This is reported by local media with reference to the police.
Khaosod states that the shooting occurred during quiet hours. According to the Bangkok Post, the ex-cop had a firearm and a knife.
