A RIA Novosti source in the Western Military District commented on a video that appeared on social networks, in which the mobilized mobilized who arrived in the Belgorod Region rebelled because of living conditions, the “bestial treatment” of officers and the issuance of decommissioned weapons to them. The message was published in the Telegram channel of the propaganda agency.
The headquarters of the Western Military District claim that the echelon with military personnel "did not go to the area of the special operation." According to the interlocutor, a unit of 299 people went to the training center at the Mulino training ground. There it is planned to conduct training "on the restoration of skills in military specialties" and combat coordination. However, the village of Mulino, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, is located more than a thousand kilometers from Belgorod. And from the Moscow region (from where, presumably, the mobilized went to the Belgorod region) to Mulino is only about 350 km. It is not clear why they decided to send servicemen from the Moscow region first to the Belgorod region, and then to the training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
In addition, the headquarters said that the weapons are assigned to the personnel and all servicemen are provided with food. At the same time, those mobilized on the video claimed the opposite.
“The issued small arms are assigned to the personnel and taken into account. The military personnel on the route to the training area are provided with individual food rations, the team includes medical personnel.
A video with the indignation of the mobilized Russians appeared on social networks on the evening of October 5, one of the first to be published by the Rybar Telegram channel. The mobilized yelled about the poor conditions, and also claimed that they were given decommissioned cartridges and weapons from the 1970s. One of the men said that there are about 500 people there who are not assigned to any unit and have been living for a week without material support. According to him, servicemen buy food with their own money. Many of the mobilized fell ill, as they had to live on the street for the first days, one of the participants in the video showed a mercury thermometer into the camera, which shows an elevated temperature.
Since the beginning of Putin's announcement of a "partial" mobilization, the Russian authorities have dismissed reports of a lack of equipment for the mobilized. At the same time, even on the government resource, conscripts are advised to take quadrocopters and night vision devices with them to the military unit, and in some units they are urged to buy bulletproof vests and dressings in advance. The Insider found that the wives of mobilized Russians are discussing in Telegram chats that it costs about 150,000 rubles to assemble a husband for war, and spend the family budget on it. In addition, women are advised to give mobilized tampons with them, which can be used to plug bullet wounds, and pads instead of insoles in shoes, so that it is “warmer”.
