On October 5, it was reported that Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers Vadim Klyuvgant left the Council and FPA Deputy President Konstantin Dobrynin.
After Russia has accepted the occupied "DNR", "LNR", Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the structure, new chambers of lawyers operating in the annexed Ukrainian territories can be included in the FPA. The departure of lawyers is connected with the unwillingness to associate themselves with such decisions.
Doctor of Economics, Director of the Center for Post-Industrial Society Studies Vladislav Inozemtsev, in a conversation with The Insider, drew attention to the fact that supporters of Alexei Navalny proposed to include the leadership of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers, in particular, Igor Mikhailovich, Alexei Galoganov and Yuri Pilipenko, who are not “friends of regime." According to him, one should be more careful with regard to lawyers, who “play rather a positive role in modern Russian society and are themselves targets of numerous attacks by the regime.”
