Former general director of the Zimnyaya Cherry shopping center Vyacheslav Vishnevsky was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime colony for taking a bribe during the reconstruction of the building. He will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony.

He was also fined 21 million rubles.

According to investigators, Vishnevsky gave 7 million rubles to the ex-director of the regional department of Gosstroynadzor Tanzila Komkova for the opportunity to reconstruct the Winter Cherry building without official permission. In 2021, the court sentenced her to 18 years in prison, her son, who also received a bribe, to 10 years, the director of the company that designed the shopping center, Nikita Cherednichenko, to 15 years, and the ex-head of one of the Gosstroynadzor departments, Svetlana Shengerei, to to 7 years in prison.

A fire in a shopping center that occurred in March 2018 killed 60 people, including 37 children. Another 147 people were injured.
