“The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case in connection with the incident on the Crimean bridge. According to preliminary information, this morning on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula, a truck was blown up, which resulted in the ignition of seven fuel tanks of a train heading towards the Crimean Peninsula. As a result, two car spans partially collapsed. On behalf of the Chairman of the IC of Russia A.I. Bastrykin, forensic specialists from the Main Directorate of Criminalistics (Forensic Center) of the Russian Investigative Committee left for the place. Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved in the commission of the crime, ”the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to create a government commission in connection with the " state of emergency " .
