“Not destroyed, but damaged.” Meduza learned how the Presidential Administration recommends state media to cover the explosion on the Crimean bridge

Meduza has published the contents of a manual compiled by the Russian Presidential Administration for state media with recommendations for covering the explosion on the Crimean Bridge. It is recommended to focus on the fact that the bridge is not destroyed – only the canvas on the road and railway parts is damaged.

The Presidential Administration advises to emphasize that preparations for restoration work have already begun, and the Ministry of Transport has launched new logistics routes. It is also recommended to write about what the Kerch ferry has earned.

On October 8, at 6 am, an explosion thundered on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula. Presumably, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the bridge. As a result, the tanks of the train, which was walking along the railway part of the bridge, caught fire. The alleged moment of the explosion was caught on video.

The UK opened a criminal case, but did not specify under which article. The head of the parliament of the annexed Crimea said that “Ukrainian vandals” damaged the roadway.

After the explosion on the bridge, Russian Railways suspended the sale of tickets for trains to Crimea from it.

The All-Russian Union of Insurers preliminary estimated the damage from the explosion at 200-500 million rubles. In a conversation with RIA Novosti, representatives of the department said that the timing of the restoration could be named only after the completion of the survey.
