The Crimean authorities have been contradicting themselves all morning: the ferry service is either launched, then canceled, imposes and removes restrictions on products

The authorities of the annexed Crimea have been making conflicting statements all morning. First, the Ministry of Transport of Russia reported that the Kerch ferry had resumed operation and the first ferry had already begun the transition for loading, three more were preparing to leave. Later, TASS, citing local authorities, reported that the ferry could not be launched due to weather conditions.

At the same time, Acting Minister of Transport of Crimea Nikolai Lukashenko said that weather conditions allow launching a ferry service. According to him, two ferries are already being prepared and several are on the way.

There is also vague information coming from local authorities about whether there will be restrictions on the sale of fuel and products. At first, the local Ministry of Industry announced that only up to three kilograms of groceries would be sold per person. But the adviser to the head of the Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, said that this information is not true. After that, the Ministry of Industry stated that "there are no restrictions on goods and they will not be introduced."

Despite this, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced that restrictions would be introduced on food and gasoline. But he immediately changed his mind and wrote: “We are removing all restrictions on the sale of food and fuel.”

Earlier, Meduza published the contents of a manual compiled by the Russian Presidential Administration for state media with recommendations for covering the explosion on the Crimean Bridge. In it, in particular, it was recommended to write about what the Kerch ferry crossing has earned.

On October 8, at 6 am, an explosion thundered on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula. Presumably, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the bridge. As a result, the tanks of the train, which was walking along the railway part of the bridge, caught fire. The alleged moment of the explosion was caught on video.

The UK opened a criminal case, but did not specify under which article. The head of the parliament of the annexed Crimea said that “Ukrainian vandals” damaged the roadway.

After the explosion on the bridge, Russian Railways suspended the sale of tickets for trains to Crimea from it.
