In Moscow, the police conduct raids on the homeless, they are sent to war, said the activists of the project “Food instead of bombs”

Activists of the “Food Not Bombs” project reported that the police are conducting raids on the homeless in Moscow, after which they are issued summonses and taken to the military registration and enlistment offices.

“The homeless told us that yesterday, on October 8, cops arrived in the Hangar (where the homeless warm themselves and eat). They took away people's passports, loaded them into vans and took them to the military registration and enlistment office. There, they issued summonses for everyone and took them to the recruiting station, ”the message on the Telegram channel says. As the activists said, later those over 50 were released. The fate of the rest is unknown.

“Food Not Bombs” is an international initiative whose members have been distributing food to the homeless in different cities for many years.

On October 9, it became known that migrants in Russia, in particular from Kyrgyzstan, are being tricked into signing military contracts. This was told by human rights activist Valentina Chupyk. According to her, they deceive, for example, in the Sakharovo migration center (Moscow), when a migrant comes to draw up documents.

“When people undergo a medical examination, fingerprinting and apply for patents at Sakharovo, they are given a pack of paper to sign and they say: “Sign quickly here and here.” And a person among this pack of sheets is thrust, including a contract for voluntary military service. It has only two pages and is printed in very small print. It is written in a very incomprehensible way, and people sign it without reading it – and then they turn out to be recruited, ”says Chupik.
