Former US President Donald Trump said that the world is on the verge of World War III and demanded negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He stated this at a campaign rally in Nevada.
“And now we have a conflict between Russia and Ukraine, potentially with hundreds of thousands of dead. <…> We must come to immediate negotiations on a peaceful end to the war, or we will come to a third world war.”
Peace talks between the two countries ended in May. After the massacre of local residents in Bucha, the Ukrainian side refused to hold any further negotiations. On October 4, the President of Ukraine signed a decree on the impossibility of any negotiations with Russia while Vladimir Putin is its president.
