Muscovite sues the FSB because of the ban on leaving the country – Chikov

The Meshchansky District Court registered a lawsuit filed by a resident of Moscow against the FSB border department for North Ossetia due to a ban on leaving the country. Pavel Chikov, a lawyer and head of the Agora human rights group, announced this on his Telegram channel. According to him, the man received a notice of the ban on September 25, when he was at the checkpoint of the state border of Russia with Georgia "Upper Lars". The border guards recommended the man to seek clarification from the military commissariat, where he was registered with the military.

According to the man's lawyer, after his appeal to the court, the district military commissar stated that the military registration and enlistment office did not draw up any lists prohibiting departure and did not transfer anything to the border service.

On October 9, the man was able to leave Russia, flying abroad from Sochi. According to Chikov, the lawsuit continues to be considered in court. The plaintiff is represented by a lawyer.

In September, the media reported that the military registration and enlistment offices, at the direction of the regional authorities, were making lists of conscripts who were prohibited from traveling abroad.

On September 29, Nestka wrote that Russian men leaving the country after the announcement of mobilization were being returned. In particular, information appeared that men were removed from flights. Similar incidents occurred at Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports in Moscow and at Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg.
