The authorities of the Omsk region made a "generous" gift to the families of the mobilized: they promised to install gas in their homes for free. Other regions have their own types of “compensation”: they want to give out coal, fish, firewood and even live sheep “one for each mobilized” to the relatives of those who were called up under Putin’s mobilization.
Omsk residents were "pleased" by the governor of the region Alexander Burkov. According to him, the work will be done "regardless of family income and standard of living."
“I have given an instruction today on regasification. Those guys who are called up today as part of partial mobilization, their families should receive a subsidy for additional gasification. It doesn't matter if the family is in need or not. Living wage criteria will not be taken into account. We will provide this financial support to everyone. The region will bear the costs,” Burkov said.
“Gifts” to the families of those who were driven to the war on mobilization are made not only in the Omsk region. Earlier, the authorities of Tuva announced that they would issue a live sheep and coal for each mobilized resident. The press service of the republic stated that "91 rams have already been issued." Families there were promised 50 kg of flour and two sacks of potatoes. "As needed," they will probably also give out cabbage.
On Sakhalin, the families of the mobilized were promised 5 kg of fish each. About 9 tons of fresh-frozen fish were allocated to the region: flounder, pollock and chum salmon.
In Buryatia, firewood was "not stingy" on the relatives of the mobilized. They can count on free firewood in the amount of up to 10 cubic meters in districts and urban areas, up to 20 cubic meters in areas equivalent to the Far North. At the same time, only needy families can participate in the “action”.
There are also private initiatives. So, in Kurgan, the “Horns and Hooves” store promised the mobilized “a nice bonus” – they decided to distribute a kilogram of smoked bacon to the men “on the road”.
“It's a good idea to support our guys, I think it's worth a lot. And I want to express my gratitude, because in our difficult time this is a rarity, ” commented one of the conscripts.
