In the Novosibirsk region, 50-year-old ex-deputy Alexei Astafyev (KPRF) was mobilized for the war – unknown people in civilian clothes took him straight from the meeting. According to Taiga.info , Astafyev is an opposition politician from the village of Kolyvan who has criticized the local authorities.
According to the publication, the incident occurred in early October at a session of deputies of the Kolyvan District Council (probably on October 7). The video was published by the regional Telegram channel.
On the footage, one of Astafyev's colleagues draws attention to the fact that "United Russia eagles" are sitting in the hall, whom no one has mobilized on the agenda, although they have experience in serving in the army. “Officers, colonels, lieutenant colonels. And they took a person who is disabled, who has three children, ”he is indignant. At the same time, one of the United Russia members answers him: "Four are needed, minors."
Taiga.info clarifies that Astafyev is an opposition candidate who heads the local district committee of the Communist Party. He criticized the local head of the district, Yevgeny Artyukhov, and in 2021, before the elections, unidentified people burned down his house. Then he expressed fears that the arson was connected with the elections and his activities in the district council. This August, Astafyev was stripped of his powers, allegedly for concealing income.
With reference to the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the publication claims that there has been no connection with Astafyev for the fourth day already: “Obviously, the“ inconvenient ”communist, for so many years of confrontation with the local authorities, has set them on edge. Arson, deprivation of mandate, confiscation of property, mobilization at the age of 50… What's next?”
