The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, in confirmation that the mobilized are being fed normally, posted on his Telegram channel photos sent by his "representatives" from military units.
At the same time, in the first post, Gladkov said that Tatyana Kukovitskaya, the wife of a military man, turned to him, who complained about the food of the mobilized. According to her, during the visit of Gladkov, the men were well fed, but immediately after his departure from the unit, the mobilized put “boiled wheat” on the tables.
“Vyacheslav Vladimirovich, please help put an end to lawlessness! You recently visited a military unit. On this day, the military had a normal meal, even more than! Immediately after leaving, there were plates of boiled wheat on the tables! How to explain it? Betrayal?! And this is happening in many military units!
Gladkov claims that after the broadcast, where the woman’s appeal was read, he called the unit “his representatives” and asked to photograph the dinner in one of the military units in the neighboring region, where mobilized from the Belgorod region are now located. The governor posted the photo, specifying that “sweets for tea and rice for garnish” were not included in the frame, as the pictures were taken after a meal.
The next day, Gladkov published new photos confirming that servicemen from the Belgorod region in two military units "everything is fine with breakfast and lunch." According to him, “you can check the authenticity with relatives.” At the same time, in the new post, Gladkov no longer mentions the appeal of the wife of one of the mobilized, who claims that in fact there are problems with food in the units. So, the governor contradicts one of his own messages with the complaint of a relative:
“Indeed, not a single question regarding food was asked in any military unit where I was.”
On the evening of October 5, a video appeared on social networks with the indignation of the mobilized Russians who arrived in the Belgorod region. One of the first to publish it was the Rybar Telegram channel. On the footage, the men claimed that they were given decommissioned cartridges and weapons from the 1970s, they themselves were not assigned to any unit and had been living without material support for a week. They also claimed that they endure the "bestial treatment" of the officers, and buy food for their own money. Many of the servicemen fell ill, as they had to live on the street in the early days. Already at night, a RIA Novosti source in the Western Military District commented on the video, claiming that the weapons were assigned to the personnel and all servicemen were provided with food.
