Poland reported a leak on one of the lines of the Druzhba oil pipeline

A leak was found on one of the Druzhba pipeline lines, Polish operator PERN reported . Through this pipeline, Russian oil is delivered to Germany.

The leak was fixed on the evening of October 11, about 70 km from the city of Plock. Her reasons are unknown. Emergency services are on the scene.

The second line of the oil pipeline is operating normally. The PERN statement noted that other elements of the infrastructure are operating as usual, including the Pomorsky section, through which crude oil is transported to Poland by tankers and then transferred to Germany.

The oil pipeline was built in the 1960s. Its route runs from Samara to Mozyr in the Gomel region of Belarus, and then branches into two sections: the northern one, which goes through the territory of Belarus, Poland, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania, and the southern one, which passes through the territory of Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia.

On September 26, it became known about leaks on two lines of Nord Stream 1 and one line of Nord Stream 2. The Swedish Foreign Ministry said explosions were the cause. Breaks in the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline system in the Baltic Sea have led to the largest methane release ever recorded, the UN said .

Copenhagen, Stockholm and Berlin are investigating what happened. In the EU, the leak was recognized as sabotage. On September 29, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case on an act of international terrorism.
