Students of the Moscow Lyceum refused to come to listen to the Russian anthem, they were forced to write explanatory notes – Astra

In Moscow, students of one of the lyceums were forced to write explanatory notes because they did not appear at the “ceremony” of listening to the Russian anthem. This was reported by the Astra Telegram channel.

Eleventh graders as a whole class decided not to go to the event. As a result, only two people came to listen to the anthem, the rest were required to explain themselves in writing. Astra does not specify which lyceum we are talking about.

In April, Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov announced that from September 1, all Russian schools would play the Russian anthem and raise the Russian flag at the beginning of the week. Some schools in the regions decided not to wait for the start of the new school year and rushed to implement the innovation right away. Thus, children were forced to sing the national anthem in separate educational institutions in Kemerovo, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and Rostov.

In June, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin allocated almost 1 billion rubles to ensure that each school was provided with a flag.

There is no official information that these events are mandatory.
