The FSB announced the arrest of 8 suspects in the case of the explosion on the Crimean bridge. The head of military intelligence of Ukraine Budanov was named the organizer

The FSB said that the organizer of the explosion on the Crimean bridge on October 8 is the head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Kirill Budanov. Another 12 people were allegedly involved in the attack, eight of whom have already been detained. It is reported by TASS.

According to the department, the explosives, which were passed off as rolls of film, were sent from Odessa and crossed the borders of Bulgaria, Georgia and Armenia.

On October 8, at 6:05 am, an explosion thundered on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula. A truck exploded on the bridge, which set fire to the tanks of the train, which was walking along the railway part of the bridge. The moment of the explosion was caught on video. The ICR opened a criminal case.

The head of the parliament of the annexed peninsula, Volodymyr Konstantinov, specified that "Ukrainian vandals" damaged the roadway. Putin, at a meeting with the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, said that the executors and customers of the undermining of the bridge were the special services of Ukraine. Also after the explosion, the President instructed the FSB to strengthen the protection of the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait, the Russia-Crimea power grid bridge and the Krasnodar Territory-Crimea gas pipeline.

RBC, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, reported that the truck driver received an order for the transportation of fertilizers via the Internet. At the same time, Mash previously claimed that 52-year-old Mahir Yusubov, the uncle of the owner of the car, Samir Yusubov, could be driving the truck.

The fact that the truck allegedly crossed the border with Bulgaria was stated earlier by the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin. Acting Prime Minister of Bulgaria Gylyb Donev said in response to this that the country's authorities had checked and completely ruled out the possibility that this truck had been in it. The country's government said it would not allow "the country's name to be used in any connection with terrorist activities."
