Ukraine and Russia exchanged prisoners, each country returned 20 troops

In Ukraine, the exchange of prisoners with Russia was confirmed, Kyiv received 20 people. This was announced by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak in Telegram.

He also posted a picture with the military.

“Ours are returning home. Another exchange of prisoners, another moment of joy and the realization that today for many families will be one of the best days of their lives. Managed to release from captivity 20 people. These are 20 stories of Ukrainian heroes: 14 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, four fighters of the territorial defense, one National Guard and one Navy soldier. There are people whom the Russians kept in Yelenovka, in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.”

Yermak promised that Ukraine would return home all the prisoners.

Earlier, on October 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the return of 20 Russian military as a result of an exchange of prisoners.

“As a result of the negotiation process on the exchange, today 20 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Kyiv regime.”

On October 11, Ukraine, as part of an exchange with the Russian Federation , received 62 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers, including those who died as a result of a strike on a colony in Yelenovka. At that time, Russia did not report the results of the exchange and how many bodies were returned to the country.
