The Russian military again launched rocket attacks on Zaporozhye. On October 14, three S300 missiles hit infrastructure facilities. Fires broke out at the landing site. This was announced by the Telegram channel of the head of the Zaporozhye OVA Oleksandr Starukh. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Recall that Russian troops attacked the Zaporozhye region on October 13. One person died and 13 others were injured in the attack. Shelling was also carried out on 12 October.
Meanwhile, pro-Russian Telegram channels report that as a result of the shelling of an ammunition depot in the Belgorod region, three employees of the National Guard were killed, and 14 more fighters were injured.

The well-known open source intelligence resource Oryx reported that in the video published today by pro-Russian resources of the destruction of the Ukrainian installation of the Buk-M1 air defense system in the Zaporozhye region by a Russian drone, a wooden decoy was actually destroyed.
According to Oryx, the footage shows that the shape of the missiles and the position of the launcher do not correspond to the Buk-M1 air defense system. In addition, the camouflage on the launcher, which prevents its operation, is questionable. Also, there was no secondary detonation – the target simply collapsed after the impact.
Germany delivered the first IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine. This was announced on Twitter by the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov. “A new era of air defense has begun in Ukraine. IRIS-T from Germany is already here. American NASAMS on the way. This is just the beginning,” he writes.
The possibility of deliveries of IRIS-T became known back in June. After massive shelling on October 10, Germany announced that it would speed up the delivery of the first of four modern IRIS-T SLM air defense systems to Ukraine. This was stated by German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht. She noted that the remaining three systems will be delivered in 2023.
Russia, meanwhile, has lost 6,000 pieces of equipment since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine and is using ammunition on a scale that it cannot compensate for due to Western sanctions. According to these data, Russia's ability to create integrated precision weapons has suffered from restrictive measures, since Russia does not have access to advanced technologies. Western sanctions have also led to a shortage in the Russian Federation of products that involve the use of less sophisticated technologies, such as bearings. This makes it difficult to manufacture and repair tanks, aircraft, submarines and other military systems. The US also recorded that Russia has been short of critical deliveries of diesel engines, engine parts for helicopters and aircraft, and armored tanks since May.
