Bodies of two more people with signs of torture found in Kazachya Lopan

In Kazachya Lopan, Kharkiv region, the bodies of two men who survived torture were found. This was announced by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

The bodies were found on October 13 in one grave at the local cemetery. According to the preliminary version, the Russian military forcibly detained and tortured men during the occupation of Kazachya Lopan. Fractures of the skull, jaw and ribs were recorded on their bodies.

In mid-September, after liberation from Russian occupation, a basement was found in Kazachya Lopan, in which, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, representatives of the People's Militia tortured local residents.

“Representatives of the Russian Federation <…> set up a torture chamber, where they subjected civilians to inhuman torture. During the inspection, documents were seized confirming the functioning of the pseudo-police department and the apparatus with which the occupiers tortured civilians with electric current, ”the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
