The heads of administrations of Moscow districts require owners of hostels and hotels to provide data on men aged 18-55 who stay with them. This was announced by the lawyer and deputy of the Moscow City Duma Yevgeny Stupin.
He published a document from the government of Moscow, which states that information is required to be provided "in order to identify citizens who are not fulfilling their military duty, including those who evade military registration." The document also contains an application form for hotel owners. They are required to indicate the year of birth, passport details and the registration address of male guests.
Stupin also published a document authored by the Tverskoy District Military Commissariat in Moscow. “Officers of organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, departmental affiliation, and citizens should assist the messenger in the timely fulfillment of the mobilization duties assigned to him,” it says.
Earlier, the administrators of several Moscow hostels told RTVI that the police began to come to them and look for men suitable for mobilization. According to the publication, at first they were interested in men aged 25-35 years, and the next day – up to 45 years. As a result, several people were taken from the hostels.
