The Central Bank of the Russian Federation received the right to issue permits for the export of foreign currency worth over $10,000 from Russia

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation received the authority to issue permits for the export of foreign currency in cash in excess of $10,000 from the country. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, it is published on the portal of legal information.

The issuance of these permits will be carried out in the manner and in cases determined by the Board of Directors of the Central Bank. The decree also gave the Bank of Russia the right to issue official clarifications on the implementation of this instruction. The regulator has not published them yet.

In March, Vladimir Putin, by his decree, banned the export of cash currency worth more than $10,000 from the country. Previously, this was possible on the condition that the amount is declared at customs.
