The authorities of the Vladimir region announced the Z-prayer. This name of the event was published in the Telegram channel and in the Vkontakte group of the regional administration (the address of the group is indicated on the official website).
The publication says that the z-prayer was held "in honor of the feat of Russian soldiers – participants in a special military operation, a prayer service was held for the health of Russian military personnel, including those mobilized, and for the victory of our Fatherland."
The event took place in the Exaltation of the Cross Church. It has been in disrepair for many years, in fact it is a destroyed building, the last service there was held in 1930, the authorities of the Vladimir region themselves write about this.
They called the temple "the first folk chapel-memorial Z in Russia". The idea to declare it a Z-memorial belongs to the historian Vitaly Semyonov, the publication says. “The initiative to create a chapel-memorial Z was supported by the administration of the Vladimir Region, the district authorities, the Inspectorate for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects, the State Center, and the Kolchugino Deanery.” There is no word on the safety of holding events there.
