Canada imposed sanctions against Medinsky, Asker-Zade, Kandelaki, Bezrukov and 30 other propagandists

The new sanctions list of Canada included the assistant to the President of Russia and the former Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, actors Sergei Bezrukov, Dmitry Pevtsov and Vladimir Mashkov, propagandists Dmitry Guberniev, Pavel Gusev, Nailya Asker-Zade, Kirill Kleimenov, Andrey Kondrashov and others. This is stated in the message of the Government of Canada.

“These individuals and organizations help the Russian regime undermine the principles of state sovereignty and are responsible for spreading false narratives that serve as a pretext for the Russian regime’s unjustified war,” the statement said.

The list also includes the Zvezda TV channel, owned by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

On September 30, Canada imposed sanctions against 43 Russian businessmen, representatives of the "financial elites" and their families. This was done after the signing in the Kremlin of agreements on the entry into Russia of the LDNR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

"Canada does not and will never recognize the results of these bogus referendums or Russia's attempted illegal annexation of Ukrainian territories," the Canadian government said.
