After the morning attack on Kyiv by Russian kamikaze drones, an explosion occurred in one of the residential buildings in the Shevchenko district, the body of a dead woman was pulled out from under the rubble, and the rescue operation continues. This was announced by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko in Telegram.

According to Klitschko, 18 people have already been rescued, and one more resident remains under the rubble.

“From under the rubble of a house in the Shevchenko district, where an explosion occurred as a result of a drone attack, they removed the body of a dead woman. Another person is under the rubble. Search and rescue work continues. Three victims have been hospitalized."

Now in the center of the Ukrainian capital, traffic is blocked on sections of several streets. Klitschko urged residents of Kyiv not to travel to the city center without urgent need and not to ignore air raid signals.

The mayor also published a photo of a cat that was rescued from the rubble.

Updated: Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that 19 people were rescued, four people were injured, two were killed.

Propaganda military commissar Yuriy Kotenok said that a "series of attacks on targets" were carried out at night in Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy and Dnepropetrovsk regions. He claims that drones have worked out massively in Kyiv, as a result, “the Ukrenergo building and the railway station area have been hit.” The information has not been officially confirmed. The Russian authorities also did not comment on the drone strikes.
