Russia conducted an exchange of prisoners with Ukraine according to the formula 110 for 110, Denis Pushilin, acting head of the "DNR", said.

“We give Kyiv mostly women. From the dungeons of the Ukrainian regime, we are returning home 80 civilian sailors who were held hostage. Also, 30 military personnel from the DPR, LPR and other regions of Russia receive freedom, ”he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Earlier, the People's Militia of the “LPR” reported that 11 servicemen returned to the republic from Ukrainian captivity.

The last large-scale exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine took place at the end of September. Then Viktor Medvedchuk, the godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners of war, including the commander of the Azov regiment, Denis Prokopenko. A total of 215 Ukrainian defenders returned home.

In addition to Prokopenko, deputy Svyatoslav Palamar "Kalina", the commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Volynsky "Volyn", as well as photographer and Azov fighter Dmitry Kozatsky were released.
