Football player Khokhlov sued Facebook for 65 million rubles due to the blocking of posts with his last name

Former Russian national team player and coach Dmitry Khokhlov won a lawsuit against Facebook, proving that his last name is not an insult to Ukrainians. The Solntsevsky Court of Moscow ordered Facebook to pay him 65 million rubles and unblock all posts mentioning his last name, RIA Novosti reports .

Khokhlov sued Facebook last September. According to the football player, neither he nor his friends and acquaintances can normally use Facebook and Instagram, because any mention of his name posts and comments are blocked.

Khokhlov demanded 150 million rubles from the social network, but the court lowered the assessment of moral damage.

Dmitry Khokhlov is the champion and winner of the Russian Super Cup, as well as the Dutch Super Cup, has played more than 50 matches for the national team. After completing his playing career in 2010, he became a coach.
