Russian military abducted two ZNPP employees – Energoatom

The Russian military abducted two employees of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was reported by the Ukrainian company Energoatom.

The abduction took place on October 17th. The Russian military detained and took out in an unknown direction the head of the ZNPP information technology service, Oleg Kostyukov, and the assistant to the general director of the plant, Oleg Oshek. Nothing is known about their whereabouts or condition.

Energoatom called on IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to do everything to release the men from captivity and return to their official duties.

This is not the first time representatives of the Russian occupation authorities have kidnapped ZNPP employees. On September 30, they took Igor Murashov, General Director of the station, in an unknown direction. His car was stopped on the road from ZNPP to Energodar, after which they were taken by force blindfolded. On October 3, he was released and returned home.
