The prosecutor demanded 5 years in prison for Pavel Krisevich for the “suicide” action on Red Square

In the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, the prosecutor during the debate demanded 5 years in prison for the actionist Pavel Krisevich.

He is accused of hooliganism committed with the use of weapons by a group of persons by prior agreement (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for a “suicide” action on Red Square. The investigation claims that on June 11, 2021, Krisevich, “grossly violating public order”, fired twice into the air from a blanked Makarov pistol.

“I am an action artist, and I decided to make an art action on Red Square. The main idea of the action was that I had “eliminated my own fear,” Krisevich said after the arrest.

On June 13, 2021, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow arrested the artist for two months. The court fully satisfied the petition of the investigation and refused to attach 128 guarantees for Krisevich to the case.
