Documentary filmmaker Vitaly Mansky has become a suspect in a libel case against Nikita Mikhalkov, Mansky's lawyer Sergei Badamshin said .
The case file, published by Badamshin, states that Mansky deliberately "spread deliberately false information that discredits the honor and dignity" of Mikhalkov.
We are talking about Mansky's statement about the Moscow International Film Festival, the "Mikhalkov Festival", where, in his opinion, "no less than 85% of the budget" is stolen. Mansky spoke about this in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak.
The maximum punishment under the part of the article on libel that Mansky is charged with is up to two years in prison.
Earlier, Mansky was put on the federal wanted list.
