The family of the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov owns property worth a billion rubles – investigation

The family of the new head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, who in recent years has been responsible for the entire military-industrial complex of Russia, owns property worth a billion rubles, the investigators of the team of Alexei Navalny found out . At the same time, the Borisov family "earned" on defense orders, which Borisov himself oversaw as an official, investigators say.

The sons of Borisov (Konstantin and Alexander), judging by the documents from the official Montenegrin state register, in 2015 purchased a land plot and a house in the village of Djurashevichi, Tivat municipality, 15 minutes from the luxury Porto Montenegro.

“This small village stretched out in a narrow strip along the sea. From here you have an amazing view of the bay. It takes just a couple of minutes to go down to the sea from the children's house of the head of Roskosmos. But they can swim in the pool on their territory, ”the investigators say.

The area of the land plot is 11 acres, the area of the house (three floors) is 853 sq. m. The land is owned by one brother, Konstantin. And the villa itself is shared by another brother, Alexander, with relatives.

Yuri Borisov himself, according to his declaration, owns an apartment of 200 sq. m in the elite residential complex "Smolenskaya Zastava" in Moscow. The cost of an apartment purchased in 2020 is about 150 million rubles.

The declaration of Yuri Borisov also indicates country property worth 200 million, recorded in the name of his son, Alexander Borisov. He also owns an apartment in the residential complex "Garden Quarters" for 170 million. The second son transferred his apartment in the residential complex "Volynsky" (120 million) to his wife Karolina.

The Borisov family also owns apartments on 3rd Frunzenskaya, Khamovnichesky Val and a townhouse in Romashkovo, Odintsovo district.

“In total, we found the total amount of real estate from the family of Yuri Borisov for 1 billion rubles,” the investigators calculated.

Borisov has been in the civil service since 2004. And before that, since the 90s, he headed the Modul enterprise, which was engaged in the production of on-board computers. Initially, the company was created by the defense industry enterprises – Vympel and the Research Institute of Radio Instrumentation, then passed into private hands, Borisov himself became a shareholder.

After Borisov left to work for the government, he claimed to have gotten rid of his shares and stepped down from the management of Modul. Now the company does not officially disclose its owners, but, according to investigators, the main shareholder is its CEO Andrey Adamov. In the media, he was called the half-brother of Yuri Borisov.

“We can say that they are definitely connected by family relations: after all, Adamov’s wife owns property in Montenegro together with Borisov’s sons. Also, Natalia Adamova, according to an extract from Rosreestr, in 2017 received a house from Borisov Sr. in the village of Novodarino, ”the investigation says.
