The Russian government is discussing the dissolution of the state company Rosnano, Vedomosti writes , citing three sources – federal officials and an interlocutor close to the company.
According to the interlocutors of the publication, the company has lost the ability to independently fulfill its obligations after the imposition of sanctions.
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an address to President Vladimir Putin that under the current conditions it is inappropriate to support the viability of Rosnano at the expense of the budget, the newspaper's sources say, and suggested considering the option of terminating the company's activities.
In the event of the liquidation of Rosnano, its assets may be transferred to other state corporations, the sources say. Two interlocutors told the newspaper at once that the possibility of keeping the company, but continuing the "balance-clearing policy," was also being discussed.
As a representative of the Ministry of Finance told Vedomosti, the department is now monitoring the financial condition of Rosnano and continues to work to stabilize the current situation. “All obligations, including those covered by state guarantees, will be fulfilled in full,” the ministry says.
On October 13, the obligations to the creditors of Rosnano under the sixth series of bonds were fulfilled by the Ministry of Finance, Vedomosti reminds.
