Footage of the night shelling of the administration of the city of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region appeared on social networks. Olga Kurlaeva , a correspondent for the propaganda VGTRK, was one of the first to post these shots on her Telegram channel.
Vladimir Rogov, a Russian-appointed member of the "administration" of the Zaporozhye region, said that the APU hit the building with HIMARS MLRS.
On the morning of October 19, the head of the city, Dmitry Orlov, reported that an industrial zone and several districts had been shelled. According to him, there is damage to some substations, as well as the building of the executive committee of the city council. Rogov also wrote that the bridge at the entrance to the city and the Luch substation were damaged.
Since the beginning of the war, Energodar has been repeatedly shelled. The Ukrainian and Russian sides attributed these attacks to each other. So, on September 1, the mayor of Energodar, Dmitry Orlov, claimed that Russian troops were continuously shelling the city. Meanwhile, the Russian-controlled authorities of Energodar claimed that the city was shelled from Ukraine. The press service of the interim administration reported that at least three civilians were killed and another person was injured. On September 3, the pro-Russian administration of Energodar announced that the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was disconnected from the Ukrainian energy system due to shelling.
