Exercises were held in two schools in Gelendzhik, during which armed people burst into the building, they shot at the ceiling and took hostages.
The Sirena Telegram channel, citing a reader , writes that teachers, parents of students and the children themselves were not notified about the exercises.
“Without warning, armed people burst into the school, then into the classroom, shooting at the ceiling and taking a hostage. Naturally, both teachers and students were shocked,” he said.
Complaints about the exercises also appeared in the chat of the Telegram channel of the head of Gelendzhik, Alexei Bogodistov. User Zinaida Iakovidi wrote that she was told by the city's education department that the exercises should be spontaneous so that children learn how to behave in situations of a terrorist threat. "Or do you want your child to be shot?" – Iacovidi quotes the response of the department. When she asked who organized these exercises, the department hung up.
A local TV channel aired a story about the exercise and published it on its website. The footage shows how armed officers of the Russian Guard run into the school yard. After complaints from parents, the video was removed from the site. According to Kavkaz.Realii , Bogodistov promised to look into it and noted that "now is not the time for such spontaneity."
