Deputy Minister of Transport Alexander Sukhanov will leave his post in the near future due to an explosion on the Crimean bridge. RBC writes about this, citing sources close to the Ministry of Transport.

Sukhanov became Deputy Minister of Transport in 2020. In his post, he dealt with transport security issues and the activities of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Department of Departmental Security (UVO) of the Ministry of Transport. Since 2017, it has been working on the transport security of the Crimean Bridge. Among the tasks of the enterprise were the development of technical support for transport security and equipping it with the passage through the Kerch Strait and approaches to it from the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory.

On October 8, at about 6:00 am, a truck exploded on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula.
