A resident of Alushta was sentenced to 2.5 years in a strict regime for a leaflet with a portrait of a brother-in-law of the National Guard and the signature “War criminal”

The Alushta city court sentenced local resident Alexander Tarapon to two and a half years in a strict regime colony in the case of “fakes” about the Russian army (part 1 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This is reported by "Network Freedom".

The reason for initiating a criminal case was that Skopin hung out on the gate of the house of his brother-in-law Yuri Orlenko, who serves in the National Guard, his photograph with the caption "Here lives a war criminal who kills the children of Orlenko Yu."

Tarapon himself declares that the “military fake” is an intra-family conflict. The man pleaded not guilty. As Network Freedoms clarifies , the investigation did not ask the opinion of Orlenko himself, and while the trial was going on, he died under rocket fire.

The initiation of the case became known in early April. The state prosecution requested two years in prison for Tarapon.

The first person to receive a real term under the article about "fakes" was the Moscow municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov. On July 8, he was sentenced to seven years in a penal colony for calling at a meeting of the council of deputies to stop the war in Ukraine and withdraw Russian troops from there.
