Residents of Belgorod and border areas of the region will be relocated to a sanatorium near Moscow. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that such a decision was announced at a meeting of the operational headquarters.
Gladkov explained that the request for temporary resettlement came from residents of Belgorod and other border areas, and it will be granted. “The Moscow region is already ready to accept 500 Belgorod residents on the territory of one of the sanatoriums. We are ready to provide transport. Meals and accommodation on the territory of the sanatorium will also be free. When the operational situation allows, we will deliver the residents back," Gladkov said on VKontakte.
Also, according to him, in the Belgorod region, measures will be strengthened to protect energy facilities, communications, and housing and communal services. Owners of enterprises in Belgorod and in the border areas are recommended to introduce flexible schedules or provide employees with the opportunity to work remotely.
Earlier, on October 21, Gladkov reported that in the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region, a fire broke out at one of the industrial enterprises due to a shell hit. “According to preliminary data, there is one victim. The medical team is already taking her to the hospital. All operational services are in place,” his post reads.
Telegram channels publish video of the fire.
The governor also reported that the village of Murom had come under massive shelling. According to these data, a school, a kindergarten, a recreation center and private houses were affected.
