“I know about four dead. There is one woman and three men. One was found this morning,” Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the administration of the occupied part of the Kherson region, wrote.

It is also reported that among the dead were two employees of the Tavria TV channel.

The Ministry of Health of the Kherson region said that 13 people were injured, some in serious condition.

Ukrainian Telegram channels note that there were no civilians at the crossing late in the evening. The civilian crossing operates from 7:00 to 20:00, and the first reports of strikes began to arrive after 23:00 local time.

The occupying authorities claim that the Ukrainian troops fired 12 HIMARS rockets, one of them fell in the area of ​​the Antonovsky bridge, which has not been functioning for a long time. Other missiles were shot down by air defense, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the annexed region, wrote . He also said that 12 cars burned down.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda, there were six explosions. “Probably, at that time, equipment and manpower of the Russian military moved along the crossing, which the invaders are actively moving to the left-bank part of the Kherson region. Perhaps there are dead, ”the newspaper writes.

Since October 13, the pro-Russian authorities, in anticipation of an offensive by the Ukrainian army on Kherson, began to move residents to the left bank of the Dnieper, which is better controlled by Russian troops. People were sent messages warning about the impending shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and intimidated that there was a danger of undermining the dam at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.

On October 19, Antonovsky Bridge and the crossing were inspected by the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, and the deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia, Sergei Kiriyenko.
