Actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, helped raise funds for 500 drones for Ukraine. He himself spoke about this in an interview with Bloomberg Radio.
“Ukraine needs drones. They determine the outcome of the war, they protect their land, their people, they watch the border, they are eyes in the sky,” Hamill commented on working with United24, the official fundraising arm of the Ukrainian government to equip the country’s armed forces with drones.
“I was shocked when I was told that [Ukraine] has received over 500 drones since I started this [ participate in the United24 fundraising campaign ],” the actor said.
