Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed strike on Antonovsky Bridge, but said there were no civilians

The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the Antonovsky bridge. This was stated by the speaker of the Operational Command "South" Natalia Gumenyuk on the air of the national telethon of Ukraine:

“Yes, we maintain fire control, but I have repeatedly stressed that we do not hit critical infrastructure, civilian settlements and the local population.”

Gumenyuk stressed that there were no civilians on the bridge at that time, because the occupying authorities set a curfew in the region and violators are severely punished.

She noted that servicemen themselves sometimes dress up in civilian clothes in order to hide their belonging to the troops and create the impression of an attack on civilians.

The occupying authorities of the Kherson region announced four dead in the area of the Antonovsky bridge, which came under rocket fire on October 20 late in the evening. It is alleged that these are civilians who were evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper. The Ministry of Health of the Kherson region said that 13 people were injured, some in serious condition.
