The mayor of Lutsk in the Volyn region, Igor Polishchuk, said that the blow was inflicted on an energy facility. This also led to power and water cuts. The local publication Volynskiye Novosti reports explosions in Lutsk and Kovel, where “a column of smoke is visible and many houses have no electricity or water supply.”
The residents of some settlements in the Odessa and Kirovograd regions also announced a power outage.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, said that five missiles were fired at Kyiv, but they were shot down by the air defense system. “All five missiles that flew to Kyiv in the first salvo were shot down,” he said.
The operational command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "South" reports that the attack on the Cherkasy region was carried out with the help of kamikaze drones.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the destruction of 10 Russian drones over the Nikolaev region and one over the Kirovograd region.
