Ukrenergo: Rocket strikes damaged Ukrainian energy networks

The missile strikes caused significant damage to the energy system of Ukraine, Ukrenergo said . According to the company, the scale of damage from the attack of Russian troops on the morning of October 22 is comparable to the consequences of shelling in the first days after the explosion on the Crimean bridge.

The agency asked citizens to help offload power grids this evening by temporarily limiting the use of household electrical appliances.

"Repair crews will begin recovery as soon as the rescuers of the State Emergency Service eliminate the consequences of missile hits," the company said in a statement. Ukrenergo assured that they are taking measures to restore power supply in the affected regions as soon as possible.

On October 20, rolling blackouts began in Ukraine, this is done in order to stabilize the load on the affected energy system.

Volyn, Khmelnytsky, Odessa, Rivne and Kirovograd regions were subjected to rocket attacks on October 22 in the morning. Air defense systems shot down missiles flying to Kyiv and a number of other regions.
