One of the largest chemical industry plants in Ukraine is partially de-energized due to a missile strike

As a result of the Russian missile strike, there was a partial blackout of Rivneazot, one of the largest chemical plants in Ukraine (the city of Rivne), Ukrainian media reported . The plant is included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the security and economy of the state.

“Due to the lack of electricity, the ammonia shop, the nitric acid shop, the limestone-ammonium nitrate and ammonium nitrate shop were stopped. <…> We emphasize that Rivneazot will fully fulfill all contractual obligations to farmers and agricultural holdings for the supply of mineral fertilizers in the autumn season,” the company said in a statement.

The company also stated that the environmental situation at the enterprise is within the normal range.

Rivneazot carries out about 50 types of activities, the main of which are: the production, storage and sale of mineral fertilizers of the nitrogen and phosphorus groups, industrial and technical products.
