A resident of Rostov-on-Don was sent for compulsory treatment because of the graffiti “Putin is a thief!”

A court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Mikhail Selitsky to one and a half years of confinement and outpatient treatment in a psychiatric hospital in the graffiti case “Putin is a thief!”. About this writes "OVD-Info" with reference to the lawyer Rustam Mukhamadeev.

The court found Selitsky guilty of vandalism motivated by political hatred. There are two more defendants in the case, they have not yet been sentenced.

According to investigators, in March last year, several people, “having criminal intent aimed at deliberate damage and desecration of residential buildings,” wrote “Putin is a thief!” on the walls of the building.

After the alleged authors of the graffiti were detained, the security forces published a video with activists who stated on camera that they acted on instructions in a Telegram chat moderated from Poland.
