Ex-head of Motor Sich Boguslayev arrested for two months on suspicion of collaborationism

The Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv has arrested the ex-head and honorary president of the Motor Sich company Vyacheslav Boguslaev for 60 days, the Grati newspaper reports.

Oleg Dziuba, head of the company's foreign economic activity department, was also arrested for the same period, who is also suspected of collaborationism and complicity with Russia. The court session was held behind closed doors.

The SBU detained Vyacheslav Boguslaev on October 23. Together with him, the head of the department of foreign economic activity of Motor Sich was detained. The press service of the SBU notes that after the Russian invasion, Boguslaev continued to supply the Russian Federation with engines and other spare parts for attack helicopters. According to the investigation, the detainees acted in collusion with representatives of the Russian corporation Rostec, one of the main manufacturers of weapons for the Russian Armed Forces, close to the Kremlin.

The Motor Sich Plant is one of the world's leading enterprises in the production of gas turbine engines for aircraft and helicopters, as well as industrial gas turbine units. Until 2014, the plant produced engines for Russian helicopters and An aircraft.
