The authorities of the Kursk region instructed the authorities to dig trenches near banks, post offices and shops

The head of the Regional Security Committee of the Kursk region, Mikhail Gorbunov, ordered to dig trenches near crowded facilities that do not have cellars. It is reported by TASS. Shelters were ordered to be made near banks, post offices and shops.

“Elementary shelters are a dug trench. Equip them, it’s easy to do – put pallets on the bottom, dig them out, equip the walls and cover them with bags so that people can take cover, ”Gorbunov explained.

According to him, located on the territory of the Kursk region, bordering Ukraine, basements and shelters can accommodate 1.5 million people. At the same time, according to Rosstat, in 2021 the population of the region is approximately 1.1 million people.

The day before, the governor said that two lines of defense had already been built in the Kursk region. The formation of the third is planned to be completed on November 5.
