“They got a rubber club and a stool leg.” In Tyumen, an arrested anti-fascist spoke about torture in the police department

In Tyumen, an antifa supporter, arrested on suspicion of terrorism, Deniz Aidyn, said that he was tortured in the police department, where he and his friend were taken after being detained in August this year. This was reported in the Telegram channel "Tyumen case", created in support of the defendants in the criminal case. According to Aydin, the security forces subjected him to torture and psychological abuse. The bullying took place on the day of his arrest, 30 August.

Mediazona publishes Aydin's lawyer poll. He said that during the detention he was forced to strip naked and squatted down. At the same time, they put a boot on his head and said that if the boot falls, then sexualized violent acts will be carried out against Aydin. At the same time, from behind a cabinet in the office, the security forces took out a rubber truncheon and a wooden leg from a stool, explaining that these items would be thrust into his rectum. He was kept in this position for about 30-40 minutes. Then they put an opaque plastic bag on Aydin's head and fixed it with adhesive tape.

Four other people arrested in this case also made allegations of torture. According to activists, after being detained, they were beaten, tortured with electric shocks, forced to squat and sing nationalist songs. They are all in SIZO-1 in Tyumen.

At the end of August, six anti-fascists and anarchists were detained in Tyumen, Yekaterinburg and Surgut – Kirill Brik, Deniz Aidyn, Daniil Chertykov, Nikita Oleinik, Roman "Ryzhy" and Yuri Neznamov. They are charged with an article on the organization of a terrorist community and participation in it (Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code). The maximum penalty under this article is 10 years in prison. Relatives and lawyers of the detainees say that as evidence, the investigation has only one meeting of the accused from different cities and confessions, knocked out by means of torture with electric current.
